Stewart Creek Winter Wedding (Canmore)
Joy + Jeramy
All images by Kalla Ramberg Photography based in Canmore (hey, that’s me!)
Joy and Jeramy envisioned a winter-wonderland wedding and chose the perfect venue in Canmore, Alberta for it. One of my favourite venues, the large outdoor tent acts as a shield from the elements. Space heaters were turned on to keep guests cozy and blankets were provided.
Venue: Stewart Creek, Canmore
Joy and Jeramy stayed at the beautiful Malcom Hotel in Canmore and got ready separately. Gifts were exchanged:
Hair and makeup artistry by: Julia Joy Beauty Co (By Candice, Mel, and Nadine.)
Dress/suit by: The Bridal Boutique and Moores
Now, a moment for Hiro the pup. Something about dogs wearing people clothes always sparks joy.
With her dress on, Joy got set up for an official first look with her bridal party.
Alright, next up is one of the many highlights of the day. At heart, Joy and Jeramy are just two big goofballs and are always looking for a laugh. Joy and I talked beforehand and coordinated a ‘fake first look.’ When Jeramy was expecting to turn around and see his beautiful bride… BOOM. Groomsman in a dress, tiara, and a tasteful amount of chest hair peeking out. Shoutout to him!
Here’s how their fake first look went. I’m still laughing about it! Peep the ear nibble. Such sensuality. What a beautiful bride.
Alright, now here’s the REAL first look with an even more beautiful bride.
I adore the outdoor tent at Stewart Creek so much!
Some moments with the bridal party with the snowy forest in the background:
Joy and her two sisters, who also happen to operate a wedding planning/coordination business. As expected, they made the wedding go seamlessly and every detail was beautiful.
A dogsled team worth of pups were in attendance as the flower dogs:
After the flowerpups stole the show, the bride and groom entered and the ceremony began with an uncle officiating the wedding and cracking jokes the whole ways through.
Filipino traditions were incorporated into the day:
Some emotional moments, lots of love, and even more dogs:
The bride and groom were all smiles as they exited the tent after saying their “I do’s”
The beginning of the reception kicked off with yet another prank. The groom donned the wedding dress of his groomsman and busted into the reception area with twirls and highfives. I freaking adore these two.
This wedding was the perfect balance of goofiness, and stunningly beautiful moments. Here are Joy and Jeramy in the snow outside having a moment to themselves.
More moments of laughter, embraces, and a butt grab or two.
I trudged into a snowdrift to frame these two behind the pine trees. Worth.
With everyone inside for the reception, the partying began!
Sparkler exits are 1000% a good idea, always.
Now, here’s some love for the carefully curated details of the day like decor, rings, and cake:
Cake by: Tiers of Joy (Edmonton) (AKA the bride herself- she’s a wonderwoman)
Videography: Sacha Henry
Planning/coordination: The Wedding Belles (Edmonton) (AKA the bride and her amazing 2 sisters)
